Nigerian winger,Rofiat Imuran made her League debut for London City Lionesses at the weekend, in their 2-0 win against Charlton.
The Lionesses secured the victory with goals from Isobel Goodwin and Swedish star Sofia Jakobsson, keeping their promotion hopes alive for the English Women’s Super League (WSL).
Imuran, who joined the club last week, was introduced in the 84th minute after the team already had a two-goal lead.
The win moved the Lionesses to second place, tied with three other teams on 13 points after six games.
Following the match, Imuran on social media, said,
“If you deserve better, go and do better… +3 on my debut 🤭. Alhamdulilahi 🤲🙏.”
London City Lionesses will next face Sheffield United on November 2, 2024.
