English Women’s Championship side, London City Lionesses have signed Nigerian winger Rofiat Imuran on a three-year contract.
Imuran, who arrives on a free transfer after the expiration of her contract with French club Stade de Reims, is seen as a key addition to the Lionesses as they aim for promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL).

The 20 year-old winger enjoyed two successful seasons in France, helping Stade de Reims achieve consecutive top-six finishes.
Before her time in Europe, Imuran played for Nigerian sides Rivers Angels and Sunshine Queens in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
Internationally, Imuran has represented Nigeria at various levels, including being part of the Super Falcons squad at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia.
She is also expected to feature in the upcoming 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Imuran has already joined first-team training at Hayes Lane and is set to be available for selection on Sunday, October 13, when the Lionesses face Charlton Athletic.
