Portugal opened the scoring through Bernardo Silva, who volleyed home from a Bruno Fernandes assist.

Ronaldo added a second, pouncing on a rebound after Rafael Leão’s shot hit the post.

Poland responded with a goal from Piotr Zielinski, but a late own goal by Jan Bednarek secured Portugal’s victory, restoring their two-goal lead.

Ronaldo, who has now scored three goals in as many Nations League games, was substituted for Diogo Jota in the 63rd minute.

Portugal, with three wins in three matches, will face Scotland, who are yet to win, at Hampden Park on Tuesday.
