Gusau confirmed that Justin Madugu will continue his role as interim coach, emphasizing the importance of identifying and nurturing talent from the Nigeria Women’s Football League.

“We have started the process to get a substantive coach for the Super Falcons, but before that, we are planning to use the FIFA window before us in October to see how we can engage the team to make them more competitive.”

This approach aims to maintain the Super Falcons’ global competitiveness while uncovering new talent.

Gusau suggested that some of the team’s experienced stars might also be included to mentor the rising players.

“He may invite some of the old players to mix with them to see how we can bring in some talents into the team.”
