Arokodare Not Frustrated With Super Eagles Snub

KRC Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare says he is not currently in contact with the Nigeria Football Federation, but remains hopeful of representing Nigeria in the future.

Arokodare is presently the joint top scorer in the Belgian League, having netted six goals in 10 league appearances for Genk this season.

Despite his impressive form, the striker was not included in the Super Eagles‘ squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya. However, Arokodare remains optimistic about his chances.

“We have immense talent in our attack, and the entire squad is full of quality,” he said in an interview with Tribal Football.

“I haven’t been contacted by the NFF, but if I continue performing well and doing the right things, I believe my time will come.

“Not being called up now simply means it’s not my moment yet. The players who have been selected ahead of me have worked hard and earned their spots. I just need to stay patient and continue working harder.”
