Quick Impact! Chidera Ejuke Named Best Sevilla Player

Winger, Chidera Ejuke has been named Sevilla’s Player of the Month for September, following an impressive start to his time with the La Liga side.

Ejuke, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer this summer after leaving CSKA Moscow, has made an immediate impact.

Known for his dazzling dribbling skills, the 26-year-old has quickly become one of the standout players in La Liga, outshining even the likes of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, as well as Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal.

In September, Ejuke made five league appearances, scoring one goal for García Pimienta’s team.

His most memorable performance came in Sevilla’s 2-1 win over Real Valladolid, where he netted the match-winning goal and also his fist goal for the club.

Ejuke’s outstanding form hasn’t gone unnoticed, earning him a recall to the Super Eagles for their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifying matches against Libya.

The winger last featured for Nigeria during the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, where the team was knocked out in the Round of 16 by Tunisia under former coach Augustine Eguavoen.
