After departing Nigeria on Tuesday, the squad touched down for a two-week training tour in Santo Domingo to prepare for their group stage matches against hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand in Group A.

Led by head coach Bankole Olowookere, who guided the team to a historic bronze medal finish in 2022, the squad features key players Taiwo Afolabi, forward Harmony Chidi, and Peace Effiong.

Chidi, who scored 13 goals in the qualifiers, will be a vital part of Nigeria’s campaign as the team looks to improve on last year’s success.
