Solanke May Never Play For Super Eagles, Gets England Call Up

Dominic Solanke has been named in England’s squad for this month’s UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Finland, while Eberechi Eze has been omitted.

Solanke, who has Nigerian heritage, has been linked with the Super Eagles in recent months.

Following his impressive performances for Bournemouth last season, there were rumors that he was considering switching allegiance to Nigeria.

Having made his debut for England in a 2017 friendly against Brazil, Solanke remains eligible to represent Nigeria.

However, by including him in the Nations League squad, England has acted swiftly to secure his international future.

If Solanke makes an appearance in these competitive fixtures, he will no longer be eligible to play for Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze, who previously committed to representing England over Nigeria, was left out of the squad for these matches.
