“The Referees Are Very Bad” – Chrisantus Uche Criticizes La Liga Officiating

Getafe midfielder, Chrisantus Uche has spoken out about his frustrating experience playing in La Liga.

Uche, who joined Getafe during the recent transfer window from AD Ceuta, has quickly made his mark at the club.

He scored his debut goal for Getafe against Athletic Bilbao and has since established himself as a key figure in Jose Bordalas’ squad.

However, in a recent interview with ESPN, Uche revealed his growing dissatisfaction with the treatment he receives on the pitch, calling out referees for what he sees as unfair officiating.

“In the first two or three La Liga games I have seen with my own eyes that the referees are very bad. They hit me and the referee simply told me to get up.

“No, it is a foul and he has to signal it. But if they hit another person, the referee simply blows the whistle and it is very painful. It is very painful.

“You cannot do anything and you have no power. The referee has the power to do what he wants. No, he has to stop it. It is not good,” Uche said.

It remains to be seen whether Uche’s remarks will catch the attention of the Technical Committee of Referees

If so, the Getafe midfielder could face disciplinary action, which would be a significant blow to Bordalas’ side, given Uche’s influential performances since joining the club.
