Naija Ratels forward, Olamide Adugbe has completed her permanent transfer to Italian club, Napoli Femminile.

The deal, a one-year contract with an option to extend for additional two years, was confirmed earlier this week.

Adugbe had been one of the standout players for Naija Ratels in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWSL).

She described the move a “dream come true” to sign for the same club as Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who plays for Napoli’s men’s team but is currently on loan in Turkish side, Galatasaray.

Her performances in Nigeria’s domestic league and with the national youth teams earned her the attention of European scouts, ultimately securing her a spot in Italy’s top division.

Olamide Adugbe is set to make her debut for Napoli Femminile in the coming weeks.

Naija Ratels celebrated her departure with a special send-off match against Nigeria’s U17 team, with dignitaries, including the Nigeria Football Federation president, present to witness the occasion.

She was wished farewell and took bundles of prayers along from her squad mates and coaches.
