Super Eagles forward, Moses Simon has been named Player of the Month for August by French Ligue 1 club Nantes, following an impressive start to the 2023/24 season.

Simon has started in all of Nantes’ games this season.

The Nigerian struggled to make an immediate impact in the season opener, but later bounced back, scoring the opening goal in Nantes’ 2-0 victory over Auxerre in their second match.

He continued his fine form in the third game against Montpellier, finding the back of the net once again in a 3-1 win.

Moses Simon received the Player of the Month award just before Nantes’ match against Reims on Sunday.

He contributed by providing an assist during the game but Nantes suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-1.

Simon has been a consistent figure for Nantes over the past few seasons, often being a crucial attacking outlet.

However, last season, his form dipped after a strong start, and Nantes will hope he maintains his performance throughout this season.
