Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo made a return to Southampton’s starting XI in their League Cup clash against Everton on Tuesday.

Aribo, who was an unused substitute in Southampton’s 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, played the full 90 minutes as the Saints secured a place in the fourth round of the competition.

The match ended 1-1 after regulation time, with Southampton eventually triumphing 6-5 in a tense penalty shootout.

Aribo, 28, had one attempt on goal and was rated 6.7 by the BBC for his performance.

The midfielder turn his attention this weekend’s Premier League clash against Ipswich Town.
