Musa has been without a club since February 2024 and is now considering a homecoming to the domestic league where his journey began.

A Passion for the NPFL

Musa’s love for Nigerian football is no secret.

In a recent X Space session, the former Leicester City winger expressed his unwavering connection to the NPFL, crediting the league for shaping his career.

‘I will always talk about the Nigerian league because I was once their product. It placed me where I am today, and even tomorrow, when I decide to retire from football, I will return to Nigeria and play in the league again. But this time, I’ll stay longer to show you the love I have for the Nigerian league,” Musa declared.

True to his word, the 31 year-old is now eyeing a longer spell in the NPFL this time around.

Back in April 2021, Musa had briefly rejoined Kano Pillars but left after a few months for Turkish side Karagümrük. This time, he seems set on a more extended commitment to showcase his passion for Nigerian football.

Fans Get to Choose

In a twist, Musa’s latest move to let fans choose his next NPFL club adds a fun, interactive dimension to his potential comeback.

Having graced European pitches with clubs like CSKA Moscow and Leicester City, Musa is ready to bring his wealth of experience home.

The question now is: which NPFL club will the Super Eagles captain join?

The possibility of seeing Musa back in action on Nigerian soil has fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter of his illustrious career.
