Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis has been left out of Nottingham Forest’s squad for the 2024-25 season, casting serious doubt on his future at the club.
Dennis, who spent the last year away from the City Ground, first joined Turkish side Basaksehir on a short-term loan in September 2023.

In January, he made a move back to Watford, where he had previously impressed during the 2021-22 season.
However, his second spell with the Hornets yielded four goals in 17 league appearances, which was not enough to secure a permanent deal with the Sky Bet Championship side.
The 26 year-old initially signed for Nottingham Forest from Watford in 2022, scoring two goals in 19 league appearances during his debut Premier League season.
Despite having two years remaining on his contract, it is now clear that Forest has moved on, leaving Dennis in search of a new club.
Earlier this summer, it appeared that Dennis had a chance to revive his Forest career under new head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

He featured in the club’s first two pre-season matches, hinting at a potential role in the manager’s plans.
However, the pacey forward has been noticeably absent from the squad in the last six games, fueling speculation about his position at the club.
Now, with the official squad list released for the new season and Dennis conspicuously missing, reports suggest that Nottingham Forest is eager to move him on in order to free up space in their squad.
New Challenge Awaits
Dennis now faces the challenge of finding a new club, as it’s clear he does not feature in Espírito Santo’s strategy for the campaign ahead.
With most transfer window closed, the Nigeria international will need to assess his options as he looks to revive his career elsewhere.
Meanwhile, his Super Eagles teammates Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi, have been included in Forest’s Premier League roster as homegrown players.

Both Aina, a Chelsea academy product, and Awoniyi, who had a stint at Liverpool, remain integral parts of the team.

Dennis, who made his debut for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in 2019 under coach Gernot Rohr, has eight caps and one goal for the national team.
