NPFL side Remo Stars have strengthened their team with the addition of midfielder Michael Ibe, who joins the Sky Blue Stars as a free agent.
Ibe is expected to fill the void left by former midfielder Dayo Ojo, who recently departed the club for AS Asvo in Benin Republic.
The 29 year-old midfielder, who was named Katsina United’s Player of the Season in the last campaign, brings a wealth of experience to Remo Stars.
Ibe found the back of the net 10 times during the 2023/24 season, underlining his attacking capabilities.
With previous stints at Abia Warriors, Plateau United, and Akwa United, Ibe’s experience is expected to be pivotal in Daniel Ogunmodede’s quest for the league title.
The team, which finished second last season, is determined to go one step further this term.
Remo Stars kicked off their new campaign on a positive note with a 2-0 away victory over Abia Warriors.
