Rwanda’s head coach, Torsten Spittler has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance following their 0-0 draw with Nigeria, on Tuesday, at the Amahoro Stadium.
Despite Nigeria’s dominance, Rwanda managed to hold on for a precious point in front of their home crowd and preserve their unbeaten run.
“I’m very happy not only because of the result but also the way we played,” Spittler told reporters.
“It’s always important to have a strong performance, and good results typically follow.”
The coach commended his defense for effectively containing Nigeria’s formidable attack, acknowledging the difference in quality between the two sides’ strikers.
“Everybody could see this Nigerian team, especially the forward line is world-class, and we also had a few chances where you could see the difference between our strikers and their strikers.

Rwanda remains in third place on the table with two points and has yet to lose a game.
“It was a good match against a very strong team coming off a 3-0 home win, so I’m very satisfied with both the result and our performance.” Spittler concluded.
