Galatasaray have assigned Victor Osimhen his kit number.
The Super Eagles forward will not wear the No. 9, instead he will start off his career in Turkey with the number 45 jersey.

How Galatasaray Fans Welcomed Osimhen
After a summer filled with speculation and uncertainty, Osimhen is joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
His arrival in Istanbul was met with a hero’s welcome, as tens of thousands of excited fans lined the streets to greet him.
Even before the official announcement, Galatasaray has started selling Osimhen’s jerseys, further building anticipation among the club’s supporters.
The loan deal, which lasts until June 2025, sees Galatasaray covering Osimhen’s €9/10 million salary, with no option or obligation to buy included in the agreement.
Osimhen touched down in Istanbul on Tuesday morning and was welcomed by a large crowd at the airport.
Following his arrival, the forward said, “I am very happy to be here.”
“I was very excited to see the fans coming here at this time of night. I want to drive them crazy with the goals I will score and have them shout my name.”
