In the early hours of Monday, Remo Stars head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede was appointed and announced as one of the assistant coaches of the Super Eagles, and will be on international duty for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

As a result of this, Sulaiman Kamil Folarin will step in as acting coach for Remo Stars with the Nigeria Premier Football League season already underway.

Ogunmodede was poached alongside Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, to make up the technical staff of interim Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen.

Meanwhile, Remo Stars will begin their league campaign with an away match against Abia Warriors, on Sunday.

However, Daniel Ogunmodede is expected to return in time for their matchday two fixture, a South West derby, against Sunshine Stars.
