Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has dismissed rumors linking the club with a move for Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen.
Amid reports that the Nigerian striker might leave Napoli after they signed Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, Arteta ruled out pursuing Osimhen.
In his presser before the of Aston Villa, on Saturday, Arteta said, “We have some great strikers. Gabi [Gabriel Jesus] is there, Kai [Havertz] has played there for a lot of minutes, Leo [Leandro Trossard] has played there, and we believe we have all the necessities as well. We fully trust our players.”
He stated that the club is focused on improving with the players they already have rather than bringing in new additions.
“We want to get better for sure, and we will try, but we are going to try with the players that are already with us.”
With Arteta ruling out a move, Chelsea remains the only Premier League club still seriously interested in signing Osimhen.
The Blues are well-positioned to make a move, especially after freeing up funds by offloading Lukaku.
