Real Sociedad has decided to help Umar Sadiq regain his confidence and form, shifting focus from transfer rumors to reintegrating the Nigerian forward into the squad.

After a summer of speculation linking Sadiq to moves in Spain and Greece, Real Sociedad’s president, Jokin Aperribay, is now committed to keeping Sadiq at the club and restoring him as a key striker.

The Forward joined Sociedad in 2022 after a successful spell at Almeria, scoring on his debut against Atlético Madrid.

However, a severe injury soon after kept him out for the rest of the season.

Though he returned in the 2023-24 season, Sadiq struggled, scoring only three goals in 26 league games.

Real Sociedad ended the LaLiga season sixth on the table.

The club hopes Sadiq can rediscover his best form and help improve their position and is backing the 27-year-old, believing he can still be the main forward the team needs.
