Nigeria international, Ademola Lookman has reportedly requested to leave Atalanta following interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Lookman, who has been a standout performer since joining the Bergamo-based club, has twice won the Player of the Season award during his two seasons at Atalanta.

The forward’s impressive form has attracted the attention of PSG, with rumors surfacing on Sunday, that the Ligue 1 champions had made contact with Lookman’s representatives to inquire about his availability.

According to reports from Football Italia, Atalanta has opted to omit Lookman from their squad for Monday’s Serie A clash against Lecce, fueling speculation about his future.

Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 from RB Leipzig for a fee of €9.35 million plus bonuses.

Since joining the club, he has made 79 competitive appearances, scoring 32 goals and providing 18 assists.

His contributions were pivotal in leading Atalanta to their first European trophy, as he netted a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final last season.

With three years remaining on his contract, Lookman’s potential departure would be a significant blow to Atalanta.

The club is already dealing with injuries to forwards Gianluca Scamacca and Nicolo Zaniolo, leaving Mateo Retegui and Charles De Ketelaere as the only available strikers.
