Enyimba FC has officially appointed Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju as its new head coach, with club chairman Kanu Nwankwo expressing strong confidence in his ability to lead the team to further success.

Olanrewaju, who previously served as an assistant coach for two seasons, signed a one-year contract to take the helm of the team.

Olanrewaju was a key figure in the team’s recent achievements, working closely with former head coach Finidi George.

His promotion comes as recognition of his instrumental role in the club’s success during his tenure as assistant coach.

“I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful to the club’s chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, for the trust he has placed in me,” said Olanrewaju.

“We’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to lead the team to even greater heights.”

Kanu Nwankwo, the legendary former footballer and current chairman of Enyimba, praised Olanrewaju’s contributions and expressed confidence in his leadership abilities.

“Coach Yemi has been an invaluable member of our coaching staff,” Kanu stated.

“We believe he has the skills and expertise to take the team to the next level, and we look forward to seeing the team thrive under his leadership.”

Under Olanrewaju’s guidance, Enyimba FC is expected to challenge for both domestic and continental titles in the upcoming season.
