No transfer for Benjamin Tanimu as Ihefu FC rebrands into Singida Black Stars
91
Amid speculation that Super Eagles defender Benjamin Tanimu might be on the move from Ihefu FC, it has now been confirmed that the player remains with the club, which has undergone a rebranding rather than a transfer.
Tanimu, who joined Ihefu FC from the Nigeria Premier Football League less than seven months ago, quickly established himself as a key player in the team.Â
Despite rumours of a transfer, the 22-year-old will continue with the Tanzanian club, which has now been renamed Singida Black Stars.
The Nigerian defender will wear the colours of Singida Black Stars in the upcoming Tanzania Premier League season, aiming to build on his impressive performances from the previous campaign.
Tanimu made his debut for the Nigerian national team under former coach Finidi George and has earned three caps, featuring in a friendly match against Ghana and crucial qualifying games against South Africa and Benin Republic.Â
