Fulham winger, Alex Iwobi has pledged to elevate his performance as the new Premier League season approaches.
The former Arsenal star, who featured in 30 matches for Fulham last season, contributed two goals and five assists.
Iwobi’s recent form has been promising, as he provided two assists in Fulham’s pre-season victory over Hoffenheim on Saturday, following his goal against Benfica in an earlier friendly.
Reflecting on his pre-season performances, Iwobi told Fulham’s official website, “So far, I am trying to create more. But it is all in the past now. It is about the present and hopefully doing it again.”
Fulham is set to kick off their 2024-2025 Premier League campaign against Manchester United this weekend.
The Cottagers triumphed over the Red Devils at Old Trafford last season, with Iwobi and fellow Nigerian Calvin Bassey both scoring in the 2-1 victory.
Looking ahead to the upcoming match, Iwobi remarked, “Man United, one of the best teams in the Premier League, is a great test. We were able to do it last season. Hopefully, we can do it again this season and start strong.” He said.
