Rangers secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Motherwell in their Premiership encounter at Hampden Park, with Cyriel Dessers once again proving instrumental in the victory.
The Nigerian striker, fresh off his first goal of the season in a midweek Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv, opened the scoring for Rangers in the 13th minute.
Dessers nearly doubled his tally just minutes later, but Motherwell goalkeeper Aston Oxborough made a superb save to keep his side in the game.
Motherwell responded quickly, leveling the match just four minutes after Dessers’ opener.
However, Rangers restored their advantage in the 24th minute through Vaclav Cerny’s strike.
In the closing stages, Rangers coach introduced Leon Balogun to shore up the defense and protect their narrow lead, ensuring the Light Blues held on for all three points.
