Edose Ibadin missed out on a spot in the semifinals of the men’s 800m at the Olympics.

Competing in his first Olympic Games, Ibadin finished 7th in his repechage heat with a time of 1:49.09, which wasn’t enough to progress to the next round.

Earlier, the Nigerian had finished 6th in heat 2 of the men’s 800m, clocking 1:46.56. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t secure qualification in the repechage round either.

Botswana’s Kethobogile Haingura took the automatic spot in Ibadin’s heat, finishing with a time of 1:45.52.
