They bottled a 10-point lead and the first quarter ended tied at 18-18.
Canada managed to claw back in the second quarter and led 41-37 at the break, although Nigeria remained very much in contention.
The Third Quarter was the breakpoint for D’Tigress, as came out strong, going on an 11-0 run to take a 9-point lead.
Key contributions came from Ezinne Kalu, Promise Amukamara, and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah, with Nicole Enabosi hitting an important outside shot to extend Nigeria’s lead to 14 points.
