Nigeria defender, Chidozie Awaziem made an impressive start in the first game with his new club FC Cincinnati.

Awaziem debuted for Cincinnati in the League Cup clash against Querétaro, where Patrick Noonan’s team secured a 1-0 victory, ending a three-game losing streak.

The Centre-back played the entire match and kept a clean sheet.

Chidozie Awaziem shared on the club’s media, saying, “It feels amazing. It feels great to be part of this wonderful club. I’m excited and happy that we came out with the three points.”

“Honestly, I didn’t feel there was any need for me to go out because I wanted to help the team more. I was feeling good, so I felt that there was no point going out to the bench.”
