Kayinsola Ajayi is poised to continue his impressive form as he competes in the men’s 100m semifinals.

Ajayi, drawn in heat 2, will face tough competition from Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo, South Africa’s Akani Simbine, and USA’s Kenneth Bednarek.

In heat 1, Nigeria’s second representative, Favour Ashe will battle for a spot in the final against formidable opponents.

Ashe will compete against favorite Noah Lyles of the Team USA, Jamaica’s Oblique Seville, Great Britain’s Louie Hinchliffe, Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme, and Ghana’s Benjamin Azamati.

Both events are scheduled to take place on Sunday, day nine of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
