Nigeria Basketball WNT, D’Tigress, head coach Rena Wakama has attempted to explain the team’s 21points blow-out against France in Thursday’s group fixture at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

D’Tigress won their opening group game against world number 3 Australia, but suffered a 75-54 defeat to the hosts, France.

“We didn’t play our game, we were not ourselves. What helped us secure the win on Monday, we didn’t bring today.

“It’s tough when you let another team shoot 63 percent inside the paint. It’s hard to beat anybody. We need to get back to our ways,” she said.

Nigeria will face Canada in their final group game on Saturday in a must-win match to secure a quarter-final berth.
