Chukwueze’s Strike Seals AC Milan Victory Over Real Madrid

Samuel Chukwueze’s 55th-minute goal secured a 1-0 victory for AC Milan against Real Madrid in a Pre-season friendly held, Wednesday night, at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Chukwueze, unmarked on the right side, skillfully converted Mattia Liberali’s pass with a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Thibault Courtois from eight yards out.

It marked his first goal of the preseason for the Italian club.

The Nigerian forward has been in impressive form, having provided two assists in Milan’s previous game against Manchester City.

Chukwueze’s performance earned him high praise from Milan’s new coach, Paulo Fonseca, who substituted him in the 76th minute.

“The result isn’t that important, but winning in general is important,” Fonseca stated. “I’m really positive about tonight. It was our clear intention to dominate the game with the ball.”

Looking ahead to the Serie A season, Fonseca emphasized the importance of continued effort.

“We’ve got three weeks of work ahead of us before Serie A starts. It’ll take a lot of work to improve, but we can see something happening in our game.”

Chukwueze, who scored once in 24 appearances for Milan last season, also had Milan’s best first-half chance in the eighth minute, but Courtois made a diving save to deny him.
