Paris Saint-Germain’s attempt to secure Victor Osimhen has hit a snag, with discussions currently at a standstill.

In an effort to break the deadlock, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, is set to travel to France to negotiate further.

Valter De Maggio, director of Kiss Kiss Napoli, disclosed on Radio Goal that the next 48 hours will be crucial for the deal.

The main sticking point is PSG’s reluctance to meet the €130 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract.

“Calenda is clearly pushing for PSG,” De Maggio noted.

“If this option falls through, they may try to persuade Osimhen to move to Saudi Arabia, which would be a step back in terms of football but a financial gain.”

De Maggio highlighted the urgency of resolving the situation, stressing that Napoli aims to conclude Osimhen’s sale and bring Romelu Lukaku into the squad before their retreat in Castel di Sangro.
