Iheanacho Cleared, Aston Villa Given ‘All Clear’ for Nigerian Forward

Aston Villa has been given the all-clear to consider signing Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho.
According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and sports scientist, who spoke with Speaking with Villa News, Iheanacho’s injury history should not deter potential suitors.
However, he raised concerns about the forward’s limited playing time at Leicester City last season.
Iheanacho, who left Leicester City following the expiration of his contract in June, is now a free agent.
Aston Villa is among the clubs considering signing the 27-year-old forward.
“He’s not had any injuries that would be red flags for any club looking to sign him, but he has not played too many minutes,” Dr. Brar explained.
“The lack of game time can certainly be a worry so the key is he needs to be brought in gradually.”
Dr. Brar also emphasized that Iheanacho’s previous Premier League experience would aid a smooth transition.
“He is moving to the Premier League from the Championship but he’s played there before so will understand the demands of the Premier League,” he added.
Villa will make final decision on the former Man City forward in the coming days.
