Staying? Nwabali Returns to Training with Chippa United

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has resumed training at Chippa United, despite ongoing talks about his potential departure this summer.

Following an impressive performance with the Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON and a solid season with Chippa United, Nwabali has been rumoured to be on the move.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with clubs like QPR, Al Ettifaq, and Orlando Pirates, however, no concrete offers have been made yet.

Despite earlier statements from the head coach suggesting Nwabali might not return due to multiple offers, the goalkeeper has rejoined Chippa United for pre-season.

On Tuesday, Nwabali shared videos of himself participating in drills at the club’s training facility.

The South African Premier League is set to resume next month, if Nwabali secures a transfer before then, he will leave; otherwise, he will be part of Chippa United’s campaign next season.
