Forward Gift Orban has expressed optimism for the upcoming 2024-2025 season following a promising start in Lyon’s pre-season preparations.

Orban found the net in Lyon’s 7-0 victory over Chassieu Décines, scoring from the penalty spot to double Lyon’s lead after Johan Lepenant’s opening goal.

The comprehensive win also saw further contributions from Lepenant, Perret, Baldé, and a brace from Molebe, setting a positive tone for Lyon’s pre-season.

Orban, who joined Lyon from KAA Gent for €12 million in January, faced challenges in his initial months, managing only three goals in 16 appearances.

However, he hopes to turn things around this season. Sharing images from the match on social media, Orban captioned them, “We back. Ready to go again,” signaling his readiness for a fresh start.
