This fixture is part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Head coach Randy Waldrum confirmed the development and announced his 22-woman squad on Wednesday, providing insights into the team’s preparation schedule.

“We are scheduled to leave for Spain on Thursday, where we will camp for about 10 days,” Waldrum shared in an interview with Tinman Podcast.

“We will play Canada in a friendly on July 17, and the next day, July 18, we will head over to Bordeaux to prepare for our opening match on July 25.”

Waldrum also explained the importance of the camp in Spain, stating, “It is an opportunity to get a few days to try to organize the team for the tournament. The camp in Spain will really be very important to us.”

The Super Falcons are drawn in the same group as Brazil, Spain, and Japan.

Nigeria will open their campaign against Brazil at Stade Bordeaux on July 25, before facing Spain on July 28 and Japan on July 31 in Nantes.
