For consecutive seasons, Remo Stars have clinched a spot in the CAF Champions League following a crucial 2-1 home victory against Katsina United on the final matchday of the NPFL campaign.
This win secured their second-place finish in the 2023–24 Nigeria Premier Football League.
Sodiq Ismail, a recent addition to the Super Eagles, and Dayo Ojo scored for Remo Stars, while Michael Ibe found the net for Katsina United.
League champions Rangers also qualified for the CAF Champions League, securing their spot earlier in the season.
In another key match, defending champions Enyimba defeated Plateau United 2-0 at home, finishing third with 63 points.
Goals from Chijioke Mbaoma and Alade Balogun ensured Enyimba’s place in the second-tier CAF Confederation Cup.
The final CAF Confederation Cup spot will be awarded to the winner of the Federation Cup.
