“The first game when we played against Senegal was tough. There’s so much at stake, being that only one African team can qualify. We knew that that was going to be a huge task,” she recounted on the tense moments during the qualifiers.
Amukamara added, “It was the first game of the tournament, so it came with a lot of nerves and stuff like that. But I’m so happy that we were able to pull off the win. It was a close game throughout, but I’m happy that we were able to get up on top.”
“I never take this for granted. I’m super blessed and grateful for this opportunity. And, yeah, I can’t wait,” she concluded.
