Chippa United Coach Confirms Nwabali’s Departure

Following his impressive performances for Chippa United and his contributions to the Nigerian national team during AFCON 2023, there has been significant interest from several clubs seeking Stanley Nwabali’s signature.

Nwabali joined Chippa United two seasons ago and has become an essential part of the team.

Last season, the 28-year-old goalkeeper made 26 appearances for Chippa United, keeping eleven clean sheets.

Speaking about Nwabali’s future, Chippa United coach Sean Louw stated that the Nigerian has offers from around ten clubs, and he doubts if he’ll return to the club next season.

“On physical hard copy paper, I don’t know how many offers he has received. But verbally, he has around 10 or even 12 offers,” Louw told South African news outlet FARPost. “He is definitely not coming back to Chippa next season,”

However, Nwabali might favor a move to Europe over another South African club or the Middle East.

Nothing has been decided yet, with the Super Eagles number one looking to sort out his future in the coming weeks.
