Africa football legend Abedi Ayew Pele has tipped the Super Eagles of Nigeria to secure qualification to the 2018 World Cup ahead of group opponents Cameroon.
The Super Eagles are currently top of the Group B table with 6 points from two matches with the Indomitable Lions managing just 2 points from two matches.
And the former Ghana captain believes that the Super Eagles are well placed to book a ticket to Russia despite Cameroon being current Africa champions.
“Nigeria and Ghana have plenty things in common and I must say if I’m not a Ghanaian, I would have been a Nigerian; we have so much in common and with that, I will predict wins in the two games for Nigeria,” Ayew told AOIFootball.com.
The Indomitable Lions are looking to cause a major setback to the Eagles when the two meet in Uyo for the qualifier on September 1, with the return-leg expected four days later in Yaounde.
