Nigerian sprinter Udodi Onwuzurike was in action at the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston on Saturday evening.
Competing in the men’s 200m event, Onwuzurike delivered a commendable performance, clocking in at 20.27 seconds (+0.8) to secure the second position in the race.
Despite his strong effort, the Nigerian fell short of his season-opening time of 20.13 seconds set last month.
The first-place title was claimed by Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago, who sprinted to victory in an impressive time of 20.13 seconds.
Bryan Levell of Jamaica rounded up the top three, finishing with a Season’s Best (SB) time of 20.48 seconds.
Following the performance, Onwuzurike will aim to build race in subsequent races.
