Super Falcons to Camp in Spain Ahead of 2024 Olympic Games

• Nigeria is in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Brazil

• Super Falcons defeated Banyana Banyana to qualify for the Games

• The team missed three consecutive Olympic Games since 2008

The Nigeria Football Federation is proposing Spain as the training camp location for the Super Falcons in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Randy Waldrum’s squad is scheduled to open camp from July 5 to 16, aiming to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Additionally, the Super Falcons will engage in a high-profile match during their camping exercise.

This decision follows Waldrum’s request for the team to camp in Europe as part of his Olympic Games program.

“My plea is to help us prepare properly. We need to camp in Europe, we need proper training, proper transportation, we need to do things right,” Waldrum said after the game against South Africa in Pretoria.

Nigeria will face World Champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil in Group C of the Women’s Football Event at Paris 2024.
