Cote d’Ivoire Announced as Host of 2025 U-17 AFCON

The Confederation of African Football has announced that Cote d’Ivoire will host the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

CAF made this announcement on Tuesday, highlighting that the facilities used for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, which Cote d’Ivoire also hosted, are still in excellent condition.

As host, the Young Elephants have already qualified for the championship as one of the teams from the WAFU B region, in addition to securing their spot as the host nation.

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria defeated Ghana in the U-17 WAFU B semi-final, on Tuesday, to secure third place.

However, CAF has clarified that the 2025 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations will still feature 12 finalists, resulting in Nigeria missing out on participation.
