Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong celebrated a major milestone over the weekend as he clinched the Greek Super League title with PAOK Thessaloniki FC.

This marks Troost-Ekong’s first league title since turning professional, despite his stints in Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, and England.

Troost-Ekong shared his joy on social media, posting “Champions of Greece” on his X account.

The 30-year-old was a regular fixture for PAOK, appearing in 23 domestic league matches this season.

However, his campaign faced a setback when he sustained an injury while representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Although he has returned to training, William Troost-Ekong has not played for PAOK since December.
