Finidi Addresses “Frosty” Relationship With Super Eagles Players

Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George openly acknowledged the need for improving his relationship with players.

In his debut press conference following his unveiling as the team’s head coach in Abuja, Finidi candidly admitted concerns about his relationship with players.

The concerns come amidst brewing controversy surrounding his tenure as interim boss, with reports surfacing of discontent among players such as Ademola Lookman and Sadiq Umar, who allegedly expressed frustration over their limited playing opportunities.

“Being the head coach now changes nothing, I’m still the same person, but I just have to improve on something. Like relationship with the players, and all that.

“They are professionals and in Europe you don’t have to slap anyone to do their job.

“We have our own way of dealing or talking to the players and henceforth there won’t be any controversy on relationship with players.”

Finidi George will take charge of his first competitive games against South Africa and Benin Republic next month.
