Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba insists he was better than his Italian counterpart Guido Vianello.

Ajagba retained his WBC silver heavyweight title crown following a split decision win over Vianello in United States on Sunday.

Vianello took Ajagba the distance in his second title defense, inflicting some injuries on the Nigerian.

Despite the formidable challenge, judges rendered their scores in favor of Ajagba, with two scores of 96-94 in his favor, while one judge scored it 94-96 for Vianello, resulting in a closely contested match.

“I can change my style at the moment and I’m faster than him, I have fast hands.” Ajagba said when asked if he’s better than his opponent.

“I have quick movement with my body. And I think fast hands are better than just power,” he said.

“I don’t care about that because I feel really smart in the ring. I’m ready to change and adjust during the fight. All of my boxing career and life and now everything is set and ready to take a big victory.”

This victory extends Ajagba’s impressive record to 20 wins and only one loss, with an impressive 14 knockouts under his belt.

On the other hand, Vianello, grappling with his second career defeat, now holds a record of 12 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw in the professional arena.
