Cyriel Dessers has rallied his fellow Rangers teammates to seize the momentum in the ongoing Scottish Premiership title race.

Following a thrilling 3-3 draw in Sunday’s Old Firm derby, Rangers find themselves in a neck-and-neck battle with rivals, Celtic – just a solitary point separate the sides.

However, Rangers hold a crucial game in hand against Dundee United, scheduled to take place later today.

A victory in this fixture would propel the Gers two points clear at the summit of the league standings, a prospect that Dessers is urging his team to grasp with both hands.

“With the result and performance on Sunday, in the second half especially, I think that will give us a mental boost as well. So I hope we are slightly ahead,” the Forward said ahead of Wednesday’s game.

“I think it is clear that this will give us a massive boost. Hopefully we can win the postponed game and then we go on top.

“That is what we want. It is close, everybody could see that on Sunday. So we will have to be ready from now until the last game. But I think we are.”

The Nigerian striker’s impactful contributions have played a significant role in Rangers’ push for silverware with fourteen goals and four assists in 28 appearances.
