Ahead of the crucial first-leg, Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers between Nigeria and South Africa, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie had issued a passionate call to fans, urging them to rally behind the team.

Nigeria hosted African champions South Africa at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, snatching a slim 1-0 victory over Banyana Banyana.

With the stakes high and the dreams of Olympic glory on the line, Nnadozie says the team is banking on the fans’ support in propelling the Falcons to victory.

“We want our people to come to the stadium and support us,” the African Goalkeeper of the year said.

Nnadozie also dispelled concerns that the Super Falcons are wary of the South Africans given their recent head-to-head form.

“The Super Falcons do not fear any team. With their support, we will play with total confidence and overcome,” she said.

Following the Abuja showdown, both teams will now head to Pretoria for the return leg.
