Turkish giants Galatasaray have targeted Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, whose contract with Leicester City in the English Championship is set to expire at the end of the season.
Despite previous reported interests from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Sevilla, and Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window, Ndidi opted to remain with Leicester City, where he has played a crucial role under manager Enzo Maresca.
However, reports from A Sport are indicating Galatasaray is eager to secure the Nigerian’s services, leveraging the appeal of Champions League football.
Ndidi has been a good servant since his arrival at Leicester City from KRC Genk in 2017, accumulating over 260 appearances, contributing 15 goals and 18 assists.
His time at Leicester City has also seen him claim the English FA Cup and Community Shield titles.
This season, Wilfred Ndidi has excelled in a more advanced role, scoring four goals and providing six assists for his team.
