Remo Stars technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede has acknowledged the intense competition in the quest for the league title.
The Sky Blues remain in the title race following 1-0 win over Bayelsa United on Sunday.
With the team currently the fourth position on the Nigeria Premier Football League table after 22 games, Ogunmodede emphasized the team’s commitment to prioritizing the upcoming fixtures as they strive for success in the league.
“We know how important every game is for us,” he told the club’s media.
“We were ashamed of ourselves the last time we found ourselves in fifth position. Believe me we don’t want to go back there again; it’s a total mess-up of what we do here.
“If we lose our next match in Lagos we might return to fifth position so we don’t want to be there again.
“We want to remain at the top of the table which is very important for us.”
Remo Stars is set to engage in a Southwest derby against Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena this upcoming Sunday.
